The Votive Means You’re Cured

A series of sculptures of lifesize hands, built upon the tradition of healing votive sculpture. To have a collection of hand votives brings to mind the implications of the hand as an intimate place, a center of personhood. Each hand would then represent one healed from fear of intimacy, a sea of nurturing and touch.
